First post Christmas run

Following the ankle issue on the Christmas Day ParkRun I took a week to let it settle, the week was hell I hate not being able to run!

I jumped on the treadmill so I was running in a controlled environment and set off for a slow 20 minute run, with the 5 minute walk either side obviously.

It was great being back running, it wasn't outside but it was great all the same, towards the end of the run I was getting a little achy but no pain. I'll have a protein shake to help with the muscle repair and have another 20 minute jog either Friday or Saturday, if the weather is OK I may even venture out down to the canal tow path as it's not as lumpy and broken up as the ParkRun course.

2020 will, hopefully be a year of 10k's and a sub 40 minutes 5k, I just need to sort this ankle out fully now.

Happy running everyone and a happy and prosperous New Year!

Well done LeeU , great to hear you’ve had an enjoyable run, I’m sure your ankle will behave if you take it nice and steady

A happy New Year to you LeeU, I just hope your ankle issues will heal and you will get a sub 40 minute 5K.

So it's going to be the year for you running 10K's, good luck for that. 😊 🏃🏾

Good that you were sensible about your ankle even if it did drive you crazy.

Hope you have many happy healthy runs in 2020. Happy New year to you and Mrs LeeU🍾🍾
