So I have repeated Week 4 of Couch to 5K about 7 times now and counting....
It’s the last five minutes that gets me! I tend to be able to run the last five minutes but by no means comfortably and I have to slow the pace a little when it gets too much.
I just want to be able to complete it comfortably already! I don’t really need advice but I definitely needed to vent haha.
Any comments welcome anyway.

If ur still managing to complete it then maybe just give the next run a try? U might surprise yourself u know! I think a lot of the time it’s our heads that stop us progressing. Keep going, I’ve just graduated today and honestly never thought I’d say that when I first started! Good luck 😉
Trust me though, you've got it the wrong way round (took me weeks for this to sink in). Dont wait until it becomes too much before you slow down. Start off much, much slower and then it wont become too much! :-).
It really isn't about going fast. Despite the name, it really isnt about doing 5k!
Trust me, take the next step. Move on to the next week, but start off much, much slower than you are doing at the moment. You have all the time in the world to build up pace.
Everybody on this forum is here for you. We'll support you all the way. Go on, give it a crack. Even if you feel the next run is too much, you just might make it! And if you dont, then it's a good practice run!
If you've completed the run then move on to the next. You are ready, honestly, you are!
As many have said, slow down. Do not be surprised if your running pace is slower than your walking speed. This is normal 😊 Also ensure you are well hydrated, 2-3 litres a day, even on non running days.
You may not believe me but once you start running for longer it's actually easier than the run/walk.
Our bodies will keep going far longer than we credit them. It's mainly a mental barrier so beat those pesky gremlins into submission 😈🔨🔨🔨
I’ve just finished week 5 R2. I say this because I said to numerous friends during week 4, that I was nowhere near ready for week 5, not even close.... turns out I was! I even got my son to come with me on the first w5, as I was convinced I would fail and wanted someone to egg me on! I wonder if constantly repeating the week is just compounding your belief that you can’t? Give it a go!! I know how you feel as I am now facing w5 R3 and I’m bricking it, but I can’t go round it... face the day and all that! Good luck!
