WEATHER'S GREAT.....IF YOU'RE A DUCK....

Back in dear old Blighty but my first run yesterday since I've been back. I have decided not to run every other day as I feel I get too tired so every third day now for me. It's been so wet (question - what do YOU wear when its wet?)and windy but I picked a good time to go. Dry and bright. W8R2. Tightened my laces and off I set. Failure of Spotify -apparently I wasn't connected to the internet 🤔 so I had to run with just the sound of me gasping for air! 28 minutes today. I didn't realise that was how far I'd be going so I felt pretty chuffed. It was pretty in France but I defy anyone to say that this place isn't just as pretty.

I am seeing that people just seem to get wet full stop which is fine. I just wondered if I was being a twit for. not wearing 'something sensible' 😂

I think others wear waterproof things but i usually try to avoid the rain so haven’t bothered so far, the rain was only spots when we went out but by the time i’d finished i was soaked and very happy

Only sensible to avoid the rain. I think I was thinking about a light waterproof but I think that would just make me hot - hotter than I would usually get 😂 so I'd rather do without.

Surprisingly I find I love running in the rain ... did this afternoon. Didn't realise how soaked I was until I got back! I run on bridleways, so I get a good coating of mud too! I ran in my usual 3/4 leggings, but just added a pair of tights underneath for a bit extra warmth, and had my hood up rather than down. Glad to hear you have some lovely places to run - I think I would find it difficult if I didn't have countryside on my doorstep. I see you are on week 8, nearly there ... good luck!

I have found that I like to run in the rain too - it makes my hair go curly! I wondered if there was some magic jacket that people wore to keep dry but no they just wear what works for them. That's great! Thanks for encouragement 😊
