What were you using on the old phone to log them?

I've had a look at it and the logging (where you tick off which run you've done) doesn't appear to personal to you - only to your phone. In other words, it requires no account to be opened, no login process, so it's completely impersonal. Which means that if you simply install the app on a new phone, it won't have a record of what you did on the same app on a different phone. Had it had a registration/login requirement... different story.

You might be able to restore the log if you 'back-up' the app and re-install it, but to be honest, it's not worth the hassle.

Thank you so much ...any alternative app you would recommend just in case for future phone swaps?

What is it you want to log? Whatever you want, you need something which backs up to a 'cloud' type service - i.e. will require registration, login etc.

For simple text information (eg. "today I ran 2 miles on W8R2 & very happy about it") I use ColorNote (lists, notes, etc) which is backed up to Google - if you delete the app or install it on different phone then all the info will be there. Or Google Sheets (a spreadsheet) .

If you want a record of distance, time, pace, etc, then I recommend Strava (there's a big HealthUnlocked group there), or Runkeeper or Endomondo or MayMyRun - all very popular and easy to use. By using the GPS on your phone and taking it out with you, then it will record everything you do.

Lots of fun!

Good luck

John

Did you buy another android phone ? The reason I ask is you can use something called Smart Swap and it transfers everything over . It might work on other phones not sure 😊
