Been a while since I posted on here. I’ve just completed W8R2 this morning 🙌
Really enjoying this running malarkey. It’s taught me how to run and also to learn lyrics from songs (especially when one of the lines was “keep running, keep running” and I found myself almost shouting “what do you think I’m doing!” 🤣).
Now that I am running longer, I’m struggling to find some good routes. Unfortunately I live in a rural location with very few footpaths, a busy A road and some public rights of way which are extremely treacherous due to all the rain we’ve had. I run on the road on a Sunday when it’s quiet but can’t during the week. I am using one particular route but I’m getting a bit bored of it now as I’m treading the same ground several times in one run. Does anyone drive out to do their runs or where do you look to find a good runners route?

Glad you’re enjoying it! I often drive to a country park (where our local parkrun happens) in fact I did it this morning. I did 5K this morning, then it’s a half hour drive home. There are other places nearer I could drive to but the park is lovely if I have a couple of hours to spare.
I drove out on Sunday when I've religiously stuck to running around my park, was actually nervous of changing routes(dont know why) but I loved it, new things to look at, it's all a distraction while running! I use strava and you can map out your running routes before hand which is quite handy!
