Scared..

So I haven’t run for over 3 months. With a house extension (requiring us to move out and around various different houses) and a daughter in a West End show (requiring multiple trips into London) it’s just not been possible to maintain any kind of routine. We’re moving back home next weekend and I’m hoping to be able to find some time to run. I’m really scared I’ll find it hard. I’ve gained weight (no idea how much as no scales) and I’ve lost tone. I want my fitness back 😫 I was previously running regular 10ks. Would you advise starting C25K again?

You were running 10k's and you've not run for 3 months personally I don't think you need to restart c25k.

Just go out for a run no pressure just enjoy and see what you can manage comfortably . If it's say 20 minutes you could then do a run from wk6 then wk7 etc. Then build back up using Ju_Jus magic plan to get you back to 10k.

Hope this helps good luck 😊😊

What you need is a massive confidence boost , time out to yourself and freedom from pressure. Take the pressure off at run 1. Find a glorious place to run, even if it means driving to that location and treat yourself to a gentle jog. Your body will remember how to run and will soon be telling you to speed up, slow down, whatever. The main thing is think about this first run as a special treat after a long stressful time. Enjoy, do tell us about it.
