First Week = Complete!

I have just finished 3/3 runs for my first week of couch to 5k! Safe to say I wanted to quit this last one about 5 times however I powered on through and feel great for it now! I pushed myself a bit more for this one though, so perhaps on my next run I just have to take it steady and not worry about how fast I’m going! Super proud of myself for starting this as I have always put it off for years for fear of what people would think of me watching me run!

Great you've now completed wk1 and you're right keep it slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.

You should be proud and not worry about what anyone else thinks. I use to see people running and I had nothing but admiration for them.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

Don’t worry about what people think DSH! This is about you, not them. Well done on completing week 1, take it slowly as you build up your strength, it’s not a race and no-one’s watching you (except us of course!). Read the pinned post for newbies where there is loads of useful information, stay hydrated and let us know how you get on!

That’s the first week out the way, those gremlins will make you want to quit at times but the benefits are astounding so keep going, this plan is about time not speed so slow done and enjoy learning how to run

Idnt it wierd how we stop ourselves doing what we want to do just on case a stranger might ...just might...laugh

Absolutely!! And now I find that I’m smiling at strangers as I run past them - just shows that confronting your anxieties can be a good thing!
