Hi all,

So my question is a little strange. Dog owners may understand where I’m coming from. Recently we’ve been flooded so my usual run areas are more like paddling pools. Wet feet for me and wet and muddy dog - ossie isn’t bothered but I’m getting a bit fed up of bathing him everyday so my question is this - Dog waders - great idea or stupid what the .... idea. I think they are practical and perfect for us. (But a bit expensive) this has split family opinion most saying they are stupid!! What do you lot think? (I think the dog in pic looks cute as well as practical ).

If you're the one running and having to bath the dog all the time then I say yes.

We need a photo when and if you decide to get it. 😊😊🐶🐶

I have two dogs, and anything that helps keep them clean in this weather is OK by me! 🐶👍

Thanks buddy, much more pocket friendly. He’s going to look a right plonker either way. (not like the dog in waders pic who totally pulls it off) Not even sure which kind of Jack Russell he is I’m thinking parsons maybe he’s long legged and skinny suppose to be just jack Russell but never mind I’m just jealous!! 😊

😂😂😂. My first Jack Russell (Jack) .

We thought he was a jack Russell but we're sure he was actually a Jackawawa.

I didn't care , I loved him 😊😊🐕🐕

Is it just me or does the dog look so depressed on that site, poor thing.

As a dog owner who had a big discussion with my wife about the size of pooch we bought (she wanted a tiny handbag style pup, I wanted a wolf type beast) I am very much against the idea of dressing dogs.

I can see the practical side of the waders, but I am definitely on the side of THATS REDICULOUS!! For the sake of your pooches sanity, just allow him to enjoy the mud. My dad once offered to buy us little wellies for our dog for Christmas one time, I'm so glad he didn't!

Oh, and incase you were wondering, we settled on a Labradoodle 🐕

Thanks for your opinions gogo_jojo and bike_and_run. Yes dressing a dog is not something I’ve ever done would never have dreamed of this for my other Jack Russell ( jacca ) who we had for 15 years but .... it’s the practical side that’s getting me nothing else - not bothered on non run days but when we came in , he runs with me (He gave me the confidence to do it and He loves it ). It’s just that I’m coming back in knackered esp w5r3 and then it took forever to wash him then clean bathroom! Oh and ahh a labradoodle !! Kind of love husky type dogs but slightly scared of them too. Ohh they’ll definitely need the waders with all that fur😂

maybe consider an equifleece polartec, pop on after the run and any mud turns to dust while the dog dries.then there is the weatherbeeta dry-dog bag .

one of mine dries quickly with a towel the big un stays damp for ages so wears a fleece when we return.

Thanks runwithdog just had a look at your suggestions both could be good to wear once inside - lots easier than constantly bathing. Less embarrassing for ossie according to my son!!
