Thank You so much! I found this first run tough as I’ve not ran properly in quite a while but I really think this app and community will help me stick with it and enjoy it.

Welcome and well done for getting started on the C25K journey! It does get a bit addictive, but keep posting and keep us updated on your progress

If it hadn't been for the forum, I don't think I would have remained motivated. Much of this journey is psychological so when feeling demotivated, still go out. I use to barter with myself. The usual line was "at least go out for the warm up walk and see how you feel."It never failed to get me running.

Do read the FAQ and follow those on the same week as you as it is hugely motivational.

Take your time and good luck.

Great for getting started. Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

Congratulations on starting the magic plan! 👍 😊 Laura (or whoever you run with) and this forum will definitely help you to keep motivated. And, as Buddy34 pointed out and many others will: The trick is to go REALLY slow (can't say this often enough to myself!)

Have fun, don’t ever beat yourself up if things don’t go as you planned, keep posting and - have fun again. It’s the forum that has kept me going, particularly after quite long breaks. I think I missed the forum almost as much as I missed the running.

Welcome to the forum and your C25k journey!

As long as you follow the programme, (stay hydrated and go slowly as Buddy mentioned), read IannodaTruffe’s post, take as many rest days as you need and/or repeat any runs you feel you need to then I guess we’ll be seeing you on the podium before you know it! 🤗 x

Well done. You did the hardest bit when you tied your shoelaces and left the house. 👍

I'm hooked. Love it. Even ran at 6.00am before a 12 hrs exhibition. I'm sure that was one of the reasons I survived the week.
