Began my First Run of the Couch to 5K tonight, ready to continue with my fitness journey!
Starting out...: Began my First Run of the Couch... - Couch to 5K
Starting out...
Very well done to you, stick with it!
Welcome and well done for getting started on the C25K journey! It does get a bit addictive, but keep posting and keep us updated on your progress
If it hadn't been for the forum, I don't think I would have remained motivated. Much of this journey is psychological so when feeling demotivated, still go out. I use to barter with myself. The usual line was "at least go out for the warm up walk and see how you feel."It never failed to get me running.
Do read the FAQ and follow those on the same week as you as it is hugely motivational.
Take your time and good luck.
Congratulations on starting I hope you have a great journey. Happy running
Hi there, well done ! Best decision you can make c25k.
Great for getting started. Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.
C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊
That's the hardest run done and dusted.... well done! As others have said, read the posts on here as they offer great advice at staying injury free and to success with the plan. Also, keep us updated on your progress
Thank you for all the support and advice! 😀
Congratulations on starting the magic plan! 👍 😊 Laura (or whoever you run with) and this forum will definitely help you to keep motivated. And, as Buddy34 pointed out and many others will: The trick is to go REALLY slow (can't say this often enough to myself!)
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey.
Have fun, don’t ever beat yourself up if things don’t go as you planned, keep posting and - have fun again. It’s the forum that has kept me going, particularly after quite long breaks. I think I missed the forum almost as much as I missed the running.
Welcome to the forum and your C25k journey!
As long as you follow the programme, (stay hydrated and go slowly as Buddy mentioned), read IannodaTruffe’s post, take as many rest days as you need and/or repeat any runs you feel you need to then I guess we’ll be seeing you on the podium before you know it! 🤗 x
Well done. You did the hardest bit when you tied your shoelaces and left the house. 👍
I'm just starting out too, going to go on my first run tonight! Well done you
Well done on making a start CJ, hope you learn to love it as much as we do 👍
This is a great forum, lots of help and support to carry you through the programme 😁
I'm hooked. Love it. Even ran at 6.00am before a 12 hrs exhibition. I'm sure that was one of the reasons I survived the week.
Once again, thank you for all the support! It means so much and have seen already that this is a great source of motivation to keep me going!
