I did it - W9R3 😁

Thank you for all of the inspirational posts on this forum. I am sure they contributed to me reaching the final run of C25K. I am excited to keep it up now. A friend has challenged me to run a 10K next May, which I would never, ever have considered before. Now I’m thinking, maybe I could do it!?!

The hardest part was around about week 7, when I decided to go off piste and change my route! A long hill finished me off and I didn’t complete the run. This really knocked my confidence. Reading a few posts on here, however, I picked myself up and did the run again successfully (on my usual route!).

The advice to start slow and build up speed towards the end of the run has been very useful, in the last few weeks. Also, listen to your breathing during the run. If you are breathing too heavily, slow up a bit until it settles down.

Here’s to staying motivated to run through the winter πŸ₯΄.

Very well done and great attitude throughout the programme!

You absolutely can reach your goal in time for your challenge, just pop over to Bridge to 10k forum in the new year and join the Magic plan for a supported journey from 5 to 10k.

Motivation is hard, especially during winter but you have a long term goal to aim for plus it's still new and exciting which is a big help πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

Next May is far enough away for you to be very comfortable with 10k by the time it arrives.

Keep running, keep smiling.
