This morning, I ran for 25 minutes continuously without stopping.

What.

Not going to lie, I did think about thinking about quitting a few times, if that makes sense. I didn't want to quit right at that point but I thought about not finishing the run. Vague thoughts of, "Oh, I'll see how I go until the end of this block and then maybe I'll stop" but I had to firmly tell myself things like, "Jaz, you are NOT going to quit! You enjoy running, right? Remember that?"

What eventually got me over the line was telling myself that if I did quit, I would have to repeat week 6 again. And, mate. If there is one way to get me to keep going, that's it. I hate failure. We all have our motivations, right? πŸ˜‚

That's week 6 done. It's still a bit surreal. A little anticlimactic, if I'm honest. πŸ™„

Brilliant job! that's the way to do it. Just to the next corner, just to the lights, just to the bin ... just ... finished! So now you know you can complete week 7. This is the point where I began to believe I could actually do it - and no-one was more surprised than I was 😍. Anticlimactic? You should be feeling very proud!

I'm definitely feeling that I can do it! It's a mental block more than anything and I know that I've done it once, so why can't I do it again?

I did message my Mum to tell her and her response was to be excited, so there is that haha. It's strange. So many people probably don't think of running 25 minutes as anything special but then I come on here and it's the most supportive community. I love it!

It is a brilliant community! It's supported me from W1R1 thru to half marathon. I often wonder if I'd still be running two and a half years on if I hadn't found this forum πŸ™‚

I know what you mean shrinkingjaz, I wasn't having a great time out there when I did it yesterday, but was very happy when it was over! Had very similar thoughts to you too. It was raining and dark and cold, so not the nicest of runs! I still can't believe I have got this far.

when we get to wk7r3 it may be a different matter. Come on! We can do it!

Week six is well over half way and now just lovely longer runs, funny how we talk ourselves into running a bit further

Oh, wow. I didn't realise that I'm more than halfway done with the program!

Ohhhh its crazy just how much more mental running can be than physical. I'm still learning all about it!

Yes i kept getting images of my legs walking at around week 6 it was funny because i could see them in my head and i don’t often visualise so i chased them off we didn’t really begin to enjoy running until the end of the programme when we can run as long or as short as we feel

You can do it! Does that mean you're on week 5 now?

Completing week 5 day 3 is the BIGGEST rush. It's a very, very cool feeling.

Yes! I completed w5 r3 on weds (it felt great πŸ‘πŸ»)and just did first run of w3 this morning...bring on the 25mins! Gives me confidence to know others have done it πŸ˜ƒ
