Let’s run round the pier he said

Our run day was yesterday and i got home from work feeling shattered then Willow said it looks like rain and is nearly dark then i found i had left my phone at work “i’ll text Sophie and ask if it’s in the office” silly me no phone, so back to work I went with Willow pointing out the clouds and how funny Sophie said she found my phone and said “i’ll text her to let her know it’s here” we are all a bit silly, it’s scary really.

Anyway i was determined today and even though dark we drove to the seafront and ran “let’s run round the pier” Willow said just as i opened my mouth to say the same thing, it was lovely then we went along the front turned and jogged back, when we got to 3k I couldn’t help myself and sprinted for a while it felt amazing, I just slowed down and was going to jog back to Willow when he sprinted past me!!

When we got home Willow said he felt better for the run.

It wasn’t long it wasn’t fast but oh my it was fun

Yes it is, I never expected Willow to still be running all these months later as it was all my idea

After very long unhappy marriages we still can’t believe after almost 7 years we really are very happy and running makes us fitter so with a bit of luck we can be together longer

If it’s the one at the end it was shut and looks like it’s being decorated, and no we were looking forward to getting home lol it’s been a long day at work

We put potatoes in the oven before we ran grated cheese and cooked bacon when we got back

For some reason we find the whole thing fun even when we first started and could hardly breathe we laughed at ourselves but.... considering the health benefits and shape benefits we are really serious about the need to keep running

Yes we felt great afterwards and managed to stay awake til bedtime so got a good nights sleep
