Hii, I am on week 4. I did my first run today and it was hard! Any tips and advice to get better? 😊

If you’ve been reading posts on here you could guess at my advice. Slow down then go slower. All you are aiming for is to complete the time. Speed and distance aren’t important, they can be worked on after graduation. Drink 2 to 3 litres of water every day not just run days, always have a rest day, more if you need to, warm up with a walk or dynamic stretches then always do a cool down and stretch after every walk. You’ve reached week 4, fantastic effort, no reason why you can’t go on to the end.

Thank you! That’s helpful

Don’t forget each run prepares you for the next and you’ll have ‘good’ runs where you’ll feel like you can go on forever and ‘bad’ runs which are a real struggle. It’s a mental battle as well as a physical and all you need to do is trust in the program and keep going. As Granny2be says slow, slow and slower again is the key. You’ve got this 💪🏼

As the others have said, slow down and then slow down more, you should be breathing deeper but not puffing

You will be surprised how far you can run slowly, and one day you will realize that a longer slow run is faster than your first few runs that felt so fast
