Giving it a go.....

My husband is a week ahead of me here and has encouraged me to join the in forum as he finds it helps tremendously. I’ve just completed D2 of W1. I have to say I’m surprised at, given how miserable I felt during runs 2 and 6, that I couldn’t believe run 8 went so quickly I (nearly) wanted to keep going- even in the pouring raining!

You're husband has given you some great advice there - this forum provides the most amazing support and advice and I'm sure it's the reason I'm still running two and a half years later. Keep reading, keep posting. By the way, W1R1 is the hardest so you've definitely got this!

Thank you so much! I’m usually quite quiet in online groups but can see how supportive everyone is! 2 and half years running- very impressive- good for you!

I think loads of people on here would say the same about online activity, but this is such a positive place, a great place to be :) Enjoy!

Great for getting started. Just go slow and slower again if needed and make sure you're drinking plenty water about 2-3 litres per day and not just on run days. C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

I find I’m struggling to stay slow. Feels counterintuitive to do so but know it’s the right way forward.

Well done, you're moving forward in this great journey of ours! When I started C25K I hadn't found this forum, boy am I glad that I soon did. The great advice, camaraderie and encouragement I get from it is making my journey so much easier, I have never had so many great & loyal friends that I don't know before! Keep up the good work and keep on posting your experiences on here, it's great to know that we're all in the same boat now and again.

Brilliant, well done! The programme is so clever, the progression is so exciting, and the forum is so full of helpful, encouraging people, it’s a winning combination. Stay slow, and enjoy it!

Truly finding this to be the case! Everyone has been amazing. I understand why My husband ( Running Migster) is so into the forum. Staying slow has been a challenge so far. My music encourages me to go faster than I probably should!

Ah you’re married to Running Migster! I enjoy his posts 😊

Yes, I know what you mean about music. I made myself a running playlist, and I’m gradually learning which ones make me run too fast, but my favourites all seem to be the culprits!

Exactly the same! Going to put some time into creating a slower playlist for these first few weeks.
