Interesting question. I am sure that with increased fitness and getting your muscle memory going you will be fine before long!
Yes it does make sense, the more you run, the longer you run the fitter you'll get . You're doing great 😊😊
Of course there will, i only started to really enjoy running after graduation although i’ve always said i enjoyed it
You are doing great
Got to trust in the training as all good so far & you did it. Well done physically you’re there , just need your mind to catch up (I went through same metamorphosis!). Only 11 runs till your graduation 🎓😊👍
You will! It's just a confidence thing 👍🏻😉😁
It gets better...just takes time to build your running legs and some days are easier than others...just keep going out and doing your best...you,are doing great
Yes, definitely. Just keep going and commit to continually improving. You will get there. Make sure you’re not going too fast though?
I’m a snail 😂 and when it gets hard...I slow down more! Better to keep going!
Yes. You’re getting fitter and increasing your stamina every time you run. Did you imagine when you were on W1 that you’d ever be able to run for 20 minutes? Look how far you’ve come. You’re doing a great job. 👏👏👏🏃♀️
You're doing a great job DottyF! Just stick with it & trust in the program. I think the battle is more with the head than the legs - keep reminding yourself how far you've come. You are getting fitter with every run 🏃♀️🏃♀️🎉
Hi Dottyf don’t worry I felt just like that but managed to complete each one, just remember when you feel like you can go on pop a grin on your face and tell yourself of course I can I’ve come this far! It’s amazing how a smile and a positive chat with oneself can make the difference .
Good luck xx
Dotty it will come, believe in you!
I used to plan my long runs so that the end was downhill so that gravity would help when I was pooped. The other trick is to run routes that are not long straight lines. I found I could then go "Just to the corner" ok just to the next corner.
The more miles you get in your legs the easier it becomes.
Also try listening to something you have to focus on rather than the act of running. Nike Run Club (free) have some great guided runs that will help now you are on the longer runs.
Remember how far you've come in just 6 weeks. You are doing great 👍
Definitely Dotty, but it takes a bit of time. In fact you're probably already doing it, for e.g. you used to think you couldn't do 3 minutes and might have to stop. Now you know you can do it so carry on.
It doesn't mean it's not difficult sometimes, and occasionally there's still a temptation to stop but it's like you've got no excuses anymore.
Once you've done a certain distance a few times, you know you can do it so you can, and over a few runs that distance then gets easier.
You're doing really well so far, well done 🏃♀️👍
