Haha yes I thought the same.

And yet strangely, 90 seconds doesnt feel very long.

Well done. I'm assured it gets easier from here.

Saying 60 seconds running doesn't sound much but running it is a different story.

But you did it and that feeling on completion is amazing.

Just go slow and slower again if needed and make sure you're drinking plenty water about 2-3 litres per day and not just on run days.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes links to stretches for pre and post run........they are not the same thing!

Enjoy your journey.

I was in exactly the same position a couple of weeks ago but am now 2/3 of the way through week 2. I'm not saying that it's easy but was pleased to find that the 90 second runs don't feel 50% harder the the 60 second ones of week 1. I didn't think I'd be able to run for longer than 60 seconds, so on my final run of week one I carried on for another 30 seconds (or half as many steps again as I was running in a minute) to see if I was going to be able to move on to week 2. I did it and to know that I now could, was a great feeling that had me looking forward to (instead of dreading) the next week!

Well done Madrat36 ...what a fantastic thing you have decided to do?!! I remember when I did that first ever run, I thought that everyone could see my lungs and heart trying to get out of my chest!!! Phew, I thought I would die!! But I carried on and here I am 2 years later, still out pounding those pavements..and so will you be because once the running bug gets hold of you there's no turning back!!
