Today for the first time I ran for 5 miles in 59.55 mins

Completed couch to 5k earlier this year and never did I think I would be able to run this far

Legs are rather heavy now though

Any advise would be very welcome

5 miles in under an hour, congratulations. It's always been advised to drink 2-3 litres every day and not just on run days. You may need a bit more if you're running longer and remember always stretch after every run. You should be so proud 😊😊😊

Great job, and thanks for posting it here, very inspiring for those starting on their journeys.

Rest well tomorrow and take your next run nice and relaxed, go shorter and a touch slower and your legs will thank you for it. Keep hydrated, don’t sit for too long at a time, and take a little walk or two to get the blood flowing to those leg muscles... active recovery is better recovery.

Wowsers! Congrats. What an achievement. I bet you’re buzzing.. and quite rightly deserve to
