π¨π¦1:1 we arrived in Calgary yesterday after a 9hr20min flight. First priority with the familyβs help, was a walk to check out a local running route.
Awoke this morning & decided as itβs Wednesday itβs time to run! After a 5min warm up walk, I took off slowly and ran at a gentle π pace for 25 mins & then a 5min faster πββοΈ to end off. It was easy and felt good! π
I realised 3 things!
Donβt underestimate the fitness you have built up previously. You can do it!
The importance of discipline & sticking to your schedule where possible.
The joy of running can be enjoyed anywhere & helps to set ones body clock in a different time zone!
You will see the Rocky Mountains in the distance in the photo. Sunshiny and a warm 13 deg. Perfect for my first run πββοΈπ

Congratulations on that great run in Calgary, nice running in Canada, that photo is really beautiful with the Rocky Mountains in the distance, it reminds me of when I was in Bavaria seeing the Bavarian Alps in the distance.
Lovely photo & well done for continuing your fitness journey. Hardly had time to unpack before youβre out running πββοΈ Well done you ππ
What an amazing commitment to yourself by getting out to run so soon after arriving. You really are an inspiration annie... enjoy your time with your family and safe running
Hope you have a fab time. Iβm going over next summer. Not sure Iβll manage any running while Iβm there though I expect itβll be too hot then. Hope you enjoy some scenic runs. π
