Consolidation Week 3

So far so good on the consolidation runs as I finally seem to be settling into them but it took a while. Currently working away from home, but amazingly found myself on the hotel running machine at 6 am this morning to get my run in before work. Never, did I think I would reach the point of packing running gear when I am working away from home. Guess the running bug must have got to me!

Yes the running bug has got at you Ant50, unfortunately there up to now is no known cure, nice that you are on the treadmill at 6 o'clock in the morning at your hotel doing running exercises, that is a fantastic way to start your day.

Thanks. Still amazed that C25K can turn a non-runner into a runner!

Yep, the last couple of consolidation runs have certainly felt easier than the first few, even managing to hit the magic 5k. Just hope it stays that way ๐Ÿ™‚. How is your consolidation going?

Wow well done on the 5K ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m nowhere near that, just plodding along quite slowly. Think Iโ€™ve maybe fallen into the trap of needing to feel Iโ€™ve achieved something, and thus trying to run faster than is comfortable for me, which has made the runs feel hard and not enjoyable.

Trying to slow down and just aim to embed the rhythm of running 3 times a week - which, I keep reminding myself, is a massive achievement for me!

Like everyone says the main thing is that you are out there running, speed and distance will come over time, not that it matters how quick or how far you run. Getting into the habit to run three times a week is the biggest achievement and one which still takes my brain a little convincing of, especially on wet running days ! ๐Ÿ˜‚
