Hello again, happy runners.

The last few days of September , ( can you believe it ), and real changes on the way... and not just in the weather!

The days are getting shorter, the mornings darker and there is a definite feel of Autumn in the air.

I hope your September running has been satisfying... and that you have kept to your running plans:)

I have had a great running month and am planning some longer runs over the next few weeks.

The Admin Team has undergone, and is still undergoing many changes and there will be some new faces and names around over the next weeks...

Because of that, to give us some time to get things organised, we are going to let What is Your Week have a rest....:)

There are so, so many of us running now and doing the most amazing things... and it has been fun to have this chat post... but, we need to get things sorted out, so that we can keep supporting each other in the most effective way

The number of folk on the forum is still increasing; we can hardly keep track! It is really tricky to keep up with everyone's progress and in our running posts and our replies, we can continue to support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.

Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.

Maybe, if you have the time, head over to Strength and Flex too. Many of us, including me, sometimes, do neglect our strength and stamina work. There will be ideas and tips there and some new exercises too!

Everything else here is going on as normal and of course, if you have just Graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and there is a brand new Quest on here, every month too...please do take a look and join in!

This month..our amazing leader roseabi is going to be hosting it... !

!!

So, please do keep checking for new pinned posts, and do keep please keep posting your runs and your replies:)

Oldfloss, roseabi, Iannodatruffe & UnfitNoMore

PS

If you want to post your adventures on here, for the last few days until October 1st... that is absolutely fine... I will watch out for your replies:)

Floss x

I plan on ending the month with the last run of Week 8 and I am making it special by going to run by Buckingham Palace, along The Mall, past Big Ben and then to London Bridge before heading back to my hotel.

The route is around 5.2km so my cool down walk is probably going to be a little longer than 5 minutes but I am looking forward to it... come rain or shine :)

Tomorrow I am going to start training towards running a 10K. Which I suppose means I should move over to the Bridge to 10K forum....but I don't want to leave here as I love this forum! 😊

I start week 9 tomorrow! I'm very thankful to have gotten this far, and am excited to start setting my own goals once the week is finished. I think I'll start out aiming for 5k and then try to bring my 5k time down below 30 mins, as I have achieved this before, but with the pace I'm running now I'm expecting to reach about 4k in 30 mins by the end of the programme. After that I'll see how I feel, but maybe I'll have a look at the bridge to 10k stuff or maybe I'll try some interval training. I feel like the world is my oyster!
