2nd 5k Parkrun, W9R1

It seems I am getting the parkrun bug!😁 Made some more new friends and have promised to be there next Saturday 🏃‍♀️😊 Time was 39.51 minutes today including my warm up and cool down 5 minute walks so I had to continue walking past the finish line. I took it a bit slower this week due to still suffering with bad DOMS in my thighs. Did I get it from running? NO!! I joined a gym and stupidly overdid it by trying a Legs, Bums and Tums class last Sunday and the day after my first parkrun and a night of drinking red wine. It is a killer!! All those squats and lunges with weights my legs went to jelly! I had to annoyingly give Mondays planned run a miss, took W8R3 REALLY slow on Wednesday... And I was unable to walk down stairs without holding on to something until Thursday! Lesson learned!! 😂 Tomorrow will definitely be a rest day methinks...

Charity Bling and cake 5k parkrun on Wednesday evening, same place, different organisers. If all goes okay it will also be my W9R3 graduation run 😁

It was so annoying being set back a run day, but yes I can’t believe I now only have two runs left!! Plus now I’m doing park runs they have given me a new incentive and goals for after I finish the plan 😊
