Does setting out in the rain with no podcast make you a runner? Cos I nailed it if it does!

I thought I would run with out the voices today! I had done a week's worth of 30 min runs still listening to the programme. Today, instead, I turned on a half way alarm on my phone and set out in the rain to music.

It's strange not hearing Jo and I missed the encouragement and the timings. Who knew that not hearing voices would feel odd?

But it also went faster. Before I knew it my alarm sounded and I turned round to run back.

I bought a cap to keep the rain off my glasses and was soaked when I got back. But I felt great. I actually felt like I had been for a run.

Well done, I'm on a couple days rest but was intending using time rather than podcast on Saturday so great to hear your experience. You are definitely a runner

It's strangely liberating. I was addicted to Jo

We call it running naked doddery and it can be liberating to run on your own. I ran with Jo too and there came a time when I realised that she needed to run off and help some more people on c25k rather than me.

Enjoy your running adventures, because this is just the start of a whole new journey.

I did it by default on Wednesday & enjoyed the experience too but sadly missed my music! It’s surprising how badly we want to run all of a sudden after being on the couch a few weeks back 🤣

I've also discovered running without voices quite liberating too 😊 The sound of nature and the pitter patter of feet is a beautiful thing xx
