Having just got in to the idea of running to the beat by doing the C25K+ podcasts I was interested to explore jog.fm to see if I could compile a lists of songs that are more bearable than the manufactured bpm songs on the podcasts.
So you go into the website and the first thing it does is ask you what your pace/km is. Well mine is about 7.00-7:10/km at the moment. For that it recommends songs at only 138 bpm!
This seems ludicrously slow - the C25K+ podcasts are all in the range 150-165 - and the upper end of this seems my natural running pace.
It's not as though I've got short legs either - I'm 6ft tall, so if anything I'd have a lower cadence than a shorter person.
Does anyone else have experience of jog.fm and their recommended rates?
Today I did the STAMINA podcast on a treadmill. Oh boy, the lack of a breeze to cool you down meant my T-shirt was mingin' by the end!!
Sorry that was probably TMI!
