Living close to Sports Direct's head office has its advantages.

I'm going out with Mrs LeeU tomorrow morning as she's doing her last week 3 run, so I'm starting my transition to outdoor running.

Quite surprised as I'm now in the XXL tops of the tops pictured, the t-shirt is not as long as my current running t-shirt but hey ho.

I've never managed to get into an XXL of their before so I'm quite chuffed now.

I only went over to look at long sleeved tops but ended up buying 2 long sleeved tops, a t-shirt, more socks, a running cap and more running stuff for Mrs LeeU.

I'll post up tomorrow with how it goes.

I first started buying form sports direct until I went to decathlon much cheaper and great quality much cheaper more for your money 😉👍

I do have some stuff from Decathlon and I do like the quality of them.

The problem is that I'm not a small guy, running clothes tend to be tight and I don't like anything tight, never have.

Sports Direct is a lot closer to me than Decathlon or I would have gone over and tried their stuff on.

I'm normally pretty good when it comes to shopping for clothes as I hate it.

I was expecting the XXL to be too small but since I actually got into them and they felt quite comfy and I did need a long sleeve top, one of the tops is just a long sleeve running top and the other is a zip top running top so I could wear a t-shirt under it if it's cold.

It's a great incentive when you are able to fit into a smaller size . Makes you really proud of yourself 😊

I have an XL Nike running top that I bought for next to nothing a couple of years ago, I WILL get into it and be able to breathe.

That's a mid-term goal, along with hitting 10k and a sub 40 minute 5k.

You know you love the outdoor runs...don't you? Slow and steady?

Is there any other way except slow and steady?

Last time I ran outside I ran too quickly (again), with Mrs LeeU doing week 3 it will give me a baseline for my speed.
