Consolidating good, equipment bad!!!

On third week of consolidating which is fine, too hot to go faster but concentrating on slowly increasing distance.

Things I learned today:

Audiobooks: Listening to a slow paced novel set in the South of France with looooong chapters is lovely and my mind drifts off peacefully. Listening to a pacey police procedural set in the South Of England – not so lovely, jarring and annoying, won’t be doing that again.

Changing audiobook mid run: Not to be recommended. While ending the first and starting the second the app cut out and I lost Sarah Millican altogether. Luckily Strava kept going so I could check where I was.

Sunglasses: My usual sunglasses which I’ve worn for the past 2 years are considerably less comfortable than the spares which I wore very reluctantly after mislaying the “favourites”.

Happy running week everyone 😊
