Week 6 Run 3

Managed to complete the run but boy was it slow. Even by my standards this was slow.

Legs were fine but my breathing was poor. I am going to have to give a lot of thought as to whether I press on to week 7 or consolidate more before moving on.

You say you thought you were slow but your post says different if your breathing wasn't right. Try keeping it slower which will help out your breathing.

25 minutes non stop that's brilliant and you should be so pleased. Well done you 😊

Hey you're doing great. Slow down and carry on. Week 7 is just 3 runs the same as you just did for w6r3 as fas as my app says so the consolidation is built into the program :)

Perhaps you are running a little too fast today, slow down a bit, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃 😊

Hi Nightingale! Don’t worry about slow - my running pace is still slower than my normal walking pace even after finishing my consolidation runs! But I now feel much more confident about starting to move faster and for longer - and I’m sure you’ll get there too. As for breathing, I found mine got better when I stopped thinking about it - that might be because thinking about my breathing, as well as my speed, my feet and listening to Laura and my music was just one task too many! Finally, I decided fairly early on that I would only re-do a run/week if I didn’t complete a run. Some of them were pretty grim but I managed to get through and found I got on better in the last few weeks of the plan. None of this may be applicable (or useful!) to you but you’re not alone in wondering what to do. We all get through in our own way - but get through it, you will! Happy running!

👍Well done on getting through it!! Why not press on and repeat the next one if you struggle! You completed this & next time might feel better. 🌷
