Welcome. Not stupid at all. You can do this, enjoy your journey.
Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which mentions the 83 year old graduate from a few years ago.
Don't write yourself off at 64 (said the 63 year old)
Enjoy your journey.
yes, it's a very silly idea, but not because of your age - because of the consequences
-you start getting up at silly times to fit your run in
-you start looking at running shoes and thinking they are so cool
-you know fartleks isn't a rude word
-you spend way too much time reading about running
-you turn down alcohol the night before a run day, because you're going running tomorrow
-you start looking at stairs as an opportunity to strengthen your legs instead of always taking the escalator
-you start believing you can do things, even things not relating to running
-you talk way too much about running with your non-running people so end up coming here to get your fix
terrible idea
