After the Lord Mayor’s Show

After doing my very first Parkrun on Saturday I should have realised my run this morning would be an anti-climax ... and it was ! The first 10 minutes which was mainly uphill went really well which is unusual for me and then did a downhill trail. However the last 5 was a real struggle which again was unusual. Not sure what was happening for me there ? Maybe the downhill was too much upping of pace ?

Anyway to cap it all the Strava on my phone stopped at 25min 25sec at 4.33km for no apparent reason. So not sure what my 5km would have timed out at. My last pace was 5.17 per km. Are there any mathematicians out there who can estimate a 5km time for me and show me the math as well ??

Onward and hopefully upwards 😳

You should get an official time from Parkrun by email. If you didn't register your email address then have a look on your Parkrun website for the results, it will give you your time, position, age group position. Good luck.

Hi - sorry I was not clear- it was not at Parkrun but a solo run.

Ah well, in that case sorry, no good at maths😂😂 you should try official parkrun though, it's great and there's bound to be one near you

Simply take what Strava says is your average pace per kilometre and multiply this 5. It won't be exact, but it'll give you a there or thereabouts...
