Finally getting the hang of running slowly πŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ

I’d been really apprehensive about this run as it seemed a big jump to go from a total of 9 mins running in wk3 to a total of 16 in wk4.

Had also been worried about an old knee problem that seems to have been resurrected since starting C25K.

But I did it! Slow, steady and loved it 😁😁😁 Knee seemed ok while running though quite achy now.

Roll on W4R2! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Wk4r1, you did it. Slow is good it will get you to the end of each run. Maybe try some knee supports for running. Well done 😊😊

Thanks Buddy. Any pointers on where to start with knee supports?

Last time I spoke to a physio about it (admittedly before starting C25K) he said I would be better doing the strengthening exercises rather than wearing a support. But maybe time to revisit!

Honestly I bought mine from eBay. I had knee ache early on in c25k . I wire them for 2 weeks then never had to wear them again. There is a link on here for knee strengthening somewhere hopefully someone else will read this and point you in the right direction 😊

πŸ‘πŸŽˆYippee you did it! Glad the knee held out during the run. Hopefully will settle with ice and rest day. I would use a support when you run, combined with the strengthening exercises.

Thanks 😊 Will seek some advice from the physio when I go next. Have been doing some strengthening stuff, so hopefully that will help. And am now a week into running with my lovely new shoes which are so marvellous!

Are you off out tmrw for W4? Good luck! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
