Its torrential rain.... would you do your first 25 min run on week 5 in this weather?
Weather: Its torrential rain.... would you do... - Couch to 5K
Weather

No, wait until it goes off. I was very lucky during the 9 weeks of C25K, only in run 3 of week 6 or was it week 7 I was running in a little light ☔ rain.
Run 2 of week 9 it was heavy rain in the morning, but I waited until it went off until I did the run in the afternoon.

It depends on how hot you get. I love running n the rain, on a usual day, i’m Quite wet/ drowned/glowing when i’ve Done a good run. So the rain cools me. Perhaps torrential is a bit much but drizzle is fine. Did my 1st Park Run in quiet a bit of rain.

I’d run... but I am a little crazy that way!
Is the forecast there better for tomorrow?

Yes definitely rain running is great and once your wet your wet 😊

Provided your route isn't prone to flooding, "yes". I spent my first six months of running studying the forecast so that I could run in the dry. Then I went out, shades on and suntan lotion applied. After about 1/2 mile, the heavens opened and I had 9 1/2 miles of running whilst soaked through. It's strangely liberating running around soaked to the skin and not giving a stuff! I think the hardest part is getting out there when it's pouring down (I draw the line at thunderstorms though).
Drying your shoes afterwards can be a bit of a nuisance. Some people stuff them with newspaper, I use a desk fan, just don't use heat! And, leave the shades at home!
I did it
Wet through but very warm haha.... thanks everyone
