I’ve finally completed week 4 and I am so chuffed and surprised with myself!
Looking ahead I’m a little nervous about week 5. Running for 20 minutes non-stop seems impossible to me but it’s potentially only three runs away. Need to keep my snail pace, trust in the programme and believe in myself!

Yep, you just said exactly what i was going to advise! I remember feeling exactly the same as you (I'm in week 8 now, ran for 28 mins yesterday!) but it's so true that all the runs you've done up until now has prepared you for this, and you absolutely CAN do it! Just take it slow, don't think about the time, keep taking long deep breaths and before you know it you'll have done it! 🏃♀️🏃♀️😊💪💪
Thank you, feeling really motivated which is basically down to this forum and comments like yours. Week 8, you’re so close! 28 minutes is amazing, well done!!
That’s so encouraging. What is more encouraging is the success stories outweigh the failures by a mile ( or 5k). Week 8 is so near for that long run. But I know I will do it. What do you plan to do after week 9?
I suppose it’s just a case of keeping the momentum going rather than stopping, starting all the time. Just a warning, I’ll be unbearably smug if/when I do it!
I love unbearably smug 😀and hope it goes smoothly, i started off as slow as i could then had a little left to go a bit faster at the end we were elated for the whole day
Well done for completing week 4! You can do this, as all the others say, your runs have prepared you for this - but nothing prepares you for the huge grin you’ll have on your face after run 3! Just slow and steady, and enjoy it 👏🏻🏃🏼♀️🐢
