Half marathon done!

So I graduated around March and have kept up the running with the odd hiccup when I've missed a couple of runs but today I ran a half marathon! I am so proud of how far I've come-I still don't look like a runner but inside I feel maybe I can call myself one now :) If I can do it, anyone can do it!

Thank you! I finally feel I'm a runner! :) I have a half marathon booked in October, agreed to in a moment of total madness. It's the London Parks one and I've been worried I'm not going to be able to do it. I set out on a normal run this morning, intending to do 16k and just kept going! The last 3 1/2 k was hard, the last 2 k was absolute agony but I couldn't give up at that point and did it! I hurt and I have two blisters but it was worth it. Good luck with the 10k!

Congratulations on running a half marathon Rikkie, that is a excellent achievement, you made it sound as if it was a short run just to pass the time, as we all know a HM ain't no short run, it's more than double a 10K, once again 🎊. congratulations 😊 🏃

Many congratulations... you’ll be more than ready for the event in October now, especially if you extend the long run gradually.

Well done! It’s a great achievement and you did before the race you’ve signed up for! You should be proud. 🎉👏I just did my first on Sunday and I understand the feeling of thinking I don’t look like a runner. But after seeing all the runners at the race I realized that runners, even longer distance ones come in all shapes and sizes. 😊
