Running trousers for shorties!

Hi everyone, I’m only 5’1 and I struggle to find running leggings/tights that don’t wrinkle around my ankles or knees. I am also about a size 16/18 at the moment (down from a 22 before couch to 5k!) so was wondering, does anyone have any recommendations for where to get shorter running trousers, preferably high rise! I find that more comfortable. Hope you can help!

I am also short and about the same dress size as you. I have given up trying to find full length running/gym leggings and just always go for capri/crop length ones instead that finish mid-calf - then it doesn’t matter if they’re a couple of inches too long. I’ve got great ones from Nike and USA Pro with a high waist and also a Next pair, but I find the Next ones slip down all the time.

I don’t find that my ankles get cold or anything even when it’s wet and chilly.

This is really helpful! Thank you so much! I think the reason I’ve stayed away from capris so far is because the Nike ones seem to be more pricey than the full length, but I think I need to invest in them.. if you have any other tips about places like the fact that the next ones fall down, please let me know!!

I don’t think I have any other tips other than that the USA Pro ones (I got them in House of Fraser but they’re available elsewhere too I think) have been good and were reasonably priced too.

For bargains the discount website MandM Direct is quite useful for branded sportswear, trainers and outdoor gear generally, so worth a look!

You can get leggings that are 7/8 length so maybe they’d be good for you?

I do have a pair of 7/8ths and I use them the most! They are just very baggy around my ankles 😂 thank you

I think capris are going to be my best bet! Thank you

Decathlon! Their running leggings also have a drawstring waist so they don’t roll down.
