When to do a Parkrun

I’m really enjoying running at the moment, and can’t wait to be doing the full 5k and eventually the 10k runs. I’m only on week 3 and don’t want to do anything to jeopardise my progress.

When do people tend to start with park runs? My thoughts at the moment to keep it until after I’ve graduated just because you can’t guarantee being able to run and walk at the appropriate time due to the number of people there.

I do it & it works fine. Many people walk it with prams & dogs. By the time you finish your 5 min warm up the fast ones have got away. I usually walk a bit longer until there’s space to start running then put on the app. I am on Week2 but before I started Couch to 5K use to fast walk the park run.

It will be ok to do parkrun as long as you still follow the plan with running and walking intervals. 😊
