I've just got back from run 2 of week 6, during the run my calves completely seized up. I almost didn't finish because of the pain, this hasn't happened before. I was racking my brains after and wondering what could have caused it, then I realised that this week I've been wearing boots during the day that are completely flat. I haven't worn totally flat shoes in about a year, could this cause the problem I experienced today? It seems obvious now that wearing these boots is the only change I've made this week but I wanted to check. Do I have to ditch the boots (I quite like them lol) or is their something I can do to help? I'm doing all my warm up and cool down stretches.
Thanks for any help/advice.

It could be so many factors, food, enough fluid, the weather. Just relax, if it still hurts, put some lavender oil on it. When you next run, beware of what is happening. I’ve found the camber of the road affects my posture!
