Bought some running trainers after work today and took them straight out for a run in the rain. Absolutely loved it today. Week 2 done. Start Week 3 Sunday. Heres some photos from my run today - ah it won’t let me post them. Never mind.

Edit - it’s done it!

Thank you - I really am doing. More so than I ever thought I would. I actually miss not running on my rest days. It’s strange to think I’ve only been doing this since last Monday.

I think today I really understood when the people that say “the first run is the hardest”. These runs aren’t a chore - they’re to be enjoyed.

Lovely. Years ago, nay decades ago, I lived in Manchester and did a fair bit of hill walking. Still miss the North.

Hi

Where did you get your running shoes from.thinking of asking grown up children to get me some for 65th bday.jyst done wk 6.3

Not easy but did it n nearly did 4k of running.git to wk 7 in march.gad to stop due to IBS groin pain.

Just keep going it's not a race n it doesn't matter if you have to repeat a run to progress.

Before Christmas couldn't run for 3 mins.now 26mins.so irsnevwe tilate to try this c to 5 k

Hi,

I got them from DW Sports. The guy there was really helpful, did a gait analysis on the treadmill with me and then advised which trainers would be best for where I’m running (trails and roads), and for the shape of my feet.

Ended up with some cushion trainers with a support insole. I was a little wary of getting an insole in case it would shuffle down whilst I ran, but there were absolutely no problems last night on my run.

Well done on your progress - that’s massive dedication to keep going when the going gets tough
