I’m waiting for my event to start and we have 45 mile a hour winds forecast. Usually it is buzzing by now but there are no gazebos up and it is very quiet. This might actually be the day I come in last 😂😂😂. I don’t mind, someone has to 😀. And it is a fun run. My hay fever is kicking up a storm which means my arthritis is but I am hoping that it will feel a bit better as soon as I start running as I usually does at around 1.5km.
Have a good day everyone

It's not the winning that matters it's taking part that counts.
Years ago at high school it was the school sports day and a girl had dropped out of the 100 metres race as she was poorly so I had put my hand up saying I woukd fill in and I did and came last.
Although I was last I could honestly say that I gave the race my very best shot which is what really matters.
It's been windy here today in Cardiff and heavy rain so I stayed in and did a fitness video indoors until the heavy rain had gone which I enjoyed as it was different and when things had calmed down went for a 2.5 mile walk round the neighbourhood.
This morning I did interview preparation for my interview on Thursday for which I have booked the day off for and also Friday to give myself a treat. Last Wednesday I was supposed to go to an interview but there were problems with the trains so I rung them and apologised for being delayed and they said I woukd have to wait until they had finished interviewing at 12.15 so I decided I would go along anyway and did just in case some of the others didn't turn up so I sat in reception and the 9.45 arrived and went and so did the 10.15 one and when the interviewer came out to fetch the ones on time I wasn't acknowledged once and I noticed that with those they were 10 mins late getting them with no apology so I had a think was I really desperate for the job and no I wasn't so I decided I would wait to see if the 10.45 one came and she did so I decided to leave and let the receptionist know I was leaving as I couldn't wait any longer which was fair enough. I feel that was a blessing in disguise as I saw their true colors with what I observed there due to my late arrival.
Thursday morning I was due to meet with the Welsh language officer for a chat at 10am so off I went and 10am came and went and then it was 10.20 and still no sign and no call to tell me not to bother attending as they couldn't come so at 10.20 I upped and left and got on with the day and one of my friends said tell them to get stuffed and he feels that kind of behaviour is very bad manners but it's another nail in the coffin of that job and a reflection on the poor way they treat people.
Yes it was upsetting at the time but I am OK now and feel that these things are a blessing in disguise once you have calmed down and are thinking rationally again.
One of my friends said how when people treat you like that it says more about them than it does about you personally. It's just common courtesy to ring up and apologise and say you can't make an appointment and arrange another time. If that had happened my reaction would have been different as I do understand things crop up but it's common courtesy to ring and apologise even if it's a lie!
Brilliant! Wind, rain or shine! Hope you had a great day! x
