Just run a little slower than you did today, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, good luck.

I’ve been struggling with the heat and humidity of late... I set off for 3 miles and managed 2 pretty recently, and I’ve been running over 12 months now! Hope that this makes you feel better about this run. It’s tough out there.

Personally, in your position I’d just relax, try and find some cooler weather, or maybe a nice bit of drizzle, and just run... you may do 28, you may do 20 again, you may run 27... just make sure you don’t overrun. Every single time you run you’re getting stronger, your muscle conditioning is improving and you’re becoming a better runner. When the conditions are better you’ll feel the benefit of these runs big time.

Don't worry, take a rest day drink plenty water and try again. Just try and slow it right down . You can do this 😊

It is almost de rigueur to have a grotty run somewhere in weeks 7-9 and your experience shows why. So much of C25K is a learning experience as well as a physical fitness building experience. And here it is "Don't panic over a rubbish run"

It can be worth a bit of analysis as to why but there's not always an obvious answer (although the weirdo weather is quite a candidate of course) You already know you can run for longer than 20 minutes... you've already done it three times recently - it's honestly not because you are not yet capable of running three more minutes than you did last week, it just creeps up like that to keep the running sustainable and less likely to cause injury.

It *is* upsetting to have something like this happen though. Others' suggestions of setting off at a slower pace next time are great insurance.
