The other two local Parkruns were cancelled today because it is Pride weekend here, so we had a lot of notquitetourist runners at our one instead.
It was a lot warmer than last week, which is definitely reflected in my time - you guys know by now, that I am not a hot weather runner.
Someone I know from Canicross was marshalling today, which was a nice boost as I am normally totally on my own when I attend.
I did push myself a bit - and I’m fairly certain that one of my unknown pacers this week was the same lady as last week 🤣 - but I’m not going to wipe myself out for the sake of a PB.
I’m not convinced my watch stopped the first time I pushed the button, but I am convinced that the woman I overtook on my way to the finishing funnel, got to the barcode scanning marshal ahead of me, though I don’t know how.
My favourite cool down and stretch corner had no-one in it today so I could take a picture, unlike last week. And as I walked back to my car I found the mobile Farm Shop parked up so treated myself to some Buxted Apple juice, and some swanky sauerkraut, and bought a couple of croissants ready for tomorrow’s breakfast
