The great thing is you’re doing it. Is the pain sharp? Striking? Cramping? Aches?

All of the above 😢, it's crazy. It took me 4 days to recover from pain. So tired and aching everywhere. Not helping existing medical condition

Do you have a physio? They may be able to give you strengthening exercises to help with specific issues related to your condition

Make sure you watch the wee advice video on how to run, I also found it useful to buy a decent pair of running trainers. The website Runners Need have a great sale on.

Don’t be embarrassed everyone has to start somewhere and you’ve started and persevered! Keep it up you’ll absolutely get there slow and steady x

You should not be in pain, but well done for conquering it.

If you follow the advice in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... on minimising impact, pacing and stretching immediately after every run, you should be able to keep the discomfort to the minimum.

I do follow. Not sure if it's my condition giving me this grief. 🙁

Just be easy on yourself and your body will adapt.

If you have a pre-existing condition is it affected by exercise?

Might be worth getting your doctors advice about running.

Shin pain is common for new runners especially forefoot runners (like assassins). Take extra rest days if you need to. If the pain gets worse instead of better then stop until you recover.

And slow down. That always helps.

I will slow more down. To avoid more aches coming... Thanks
