Running is crazy!

Into the post-graduation consolidation runs now. All was going fine but for the last three I have had to stop at around the 3.5K mark and walk for a minute or two. This was particularly galling last Saturday (parkrun) after I had done (I thought) good preparation, well hydrated the day before, good sleep, good warm up. Even though I had a minute or two walking my time was about what I expected so I guess I may have started too fast and that caught up with me later on. But... but, this morning after an evening in London with my dearest, a few beers, some 'junky' food, not getting to bed until 1am, then up at 7am for my run, on quite a warm morning, I did it non-stop in my second best time. Not recommending that type of preparation, obviously, but running can surprise you!

Well done, all your runs will be and feel different I think . They are for me anyway some still feel harder than others especially in the heat . 😊

We all have our off days so no beating yourself up about it. There must be something in this booze that makes people run better, lol. Enjoy your running 🏃‍♀️

Thanks, I can certainly recommend an IPA at a small pub we stumbled upon in a London backstreet, but probably not as ideal prep for a run!
