Parkrun and thank you to physio and left knee!

So the alarm went off at 8, I got up and said to my partner I may go back to bed! He was full of encouragement and suggested that wasn't a bad idea, no! I said I'm doing this. I love parkrun and couldn't go the last two week plus my knee improvement made me want to up my game again!

It was busy today and a bit of a struggle initially to get my pace and find my place among the fast runners and mad women with buggies!πŸ˜„

It's been two weeks since I ran 5k due to a knee problem but I've been diligently doing my exercises and kept my distance down. So no plans to challenge my past pb just a nice steady run. Then the 30minute pacer overtook me, ok, I thought I must be doing better than expected and ended up overtaking him again at the 2.5k mark😁

Ended up with a 29.15 time which is a pb and I'm very happy with!

Happy running to all this weekend πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Congrats I’ve just done week 3 run 3, didn’t want to do it and it’s raining but as soon as I got out I enjoyed it. Looking forward to running a park run!

Thanks and well done for getting out in the rain. You'll be doing a parkrun before you know it πŸ˜€

Great run... impressive time there. Short runs can build speed quite well, and the exercises have obviously done their job. You’re lucky too... I’m up at 6 to get to parkrun!!
