Just did my final week 8 run - I got a little faster from run to run but I've found the last 5 mins a bit of a struggle each time too. I half thought I might try 30 mins today, but caved and stopped at the 28, it can wait till Monday.

Am definitely feeling it, and I've felt I wouldn't finish a run but.. ugh, I'm kind of looking forward to next week and then moving on to consolidation and not ending up a bright red-faced mess.

I started 8 weeks ago as a way to help kickstart some weight loss and to see if I could get to 10 mins running. I'd lost 40lbs since last October but really plateaued through May and wanted something that wasn't my usual vague cycling and Audioshield. I've definitely started to lose weight again, gradually - as it should be - have a fair way to go, but I'm really glad I didn't let how I feel about how I look put me off trying the jog/walk/run.

At least I FINALLY say I'm going out for a run and not a jogwalk (no shame in that, I was very happy during those weeks).

Anyway, onwards and upwards to week 9, I guess.

You are doing brilliantly! 😄

If you are finding the last five minutes a struggle, slacken off your pace a little. I found that really helped me a lot and then a month or so later my pace picked up without me really trying. 😀
