Slight pain in back of right knee
Great job. Here’s hoping you’re fine tomorrow... dial up some strengthening work on your “rest” days. We start this inactive, and this plan is likely to expose some weaknesses caused by inactivity. If it gets worse, be smart and rest it... and if it still doesn’t go see your GP/Physio.
Hope it clears up overnight. Good luck!
If it doesn’t go away please consider seeing a doctor or physio.
Well done Shaun. I have 2 suggestions for the knee: (1) think about the surface you’re running on - if you’re running at the side of a road you might be on the camber with one leg; (2) ask someone to video you from front and back when you’re running a few steps, see if there’s any funny wobbles going on, try to correct them before they become habit. (I speak as one who ran for 45 years before getting arthritic knee and “trashed ankle syndrome” (loads of scar tissue in ankle) and after 3 years off running I’m starting all over again - and I too have just completed W2R1.)
What are you running in ? Weeks one and two I wore my trainers and pain in both knees. Week three as advised got myself some running trainers and no more pain. Now on week six.
Thanks Jogit, running trainers, now completed Week 2 and seems ok now
