First run out for a while and managing injury

Went for a short 10 min run thus morning which felt so refreshing! I haven't been running for about 2 weeks because my groin muscle was still hurting and niggling me since hurting it about a month ago and has really effected my motivation to run. Finally went to the doctor and referred me for some physiotherapy which I had 2 days ago and it was so helpful! I have been given some strength building exercises to do after my runs so I hope that helps.

But I have my very first 5K race next Sunday and I am very undecided whether to run it or not because I haven't been running for 2 weeks and then only doing 10-20 recovery runs for 2 weeks before that so I haven't run for half an hour for about a month! So not sure what to do. I would like to run it because I've paid for it now but I really don't want to aggravate my groin muscle that is slowly recovering! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
