Evening runners!

Hope you've all had a good run or a relaxing day off. I've just ran week 3, run 1 and am so proud that I ran most of it, apart from a short bit on the final 3 minute run where I was climbing some steep steps that were on my route.

I am even more proud because I am experiencing a terrible pain on the inside of my calves. It feels musculer but is the side of my leg so I'm confused! (the orange lines on the picture shows where it is). It's worse on my left leg, shoots from just above my ankle bone right up to my knee. Right leg it's just the muscle area.

My dad seems to think I'm running on the inside of my foot slightly so I'm going to try buying some new trainers in case I've ruined these ones. Any other ideas? πŸ€”

I don't want to give up! 😩

Happy running πŸƒ

If you have pain don't do anymore running until it has gone . Also you may need to get a gait analysis done and get trainers to suit 😊

Where would I need to go for a gait analysis? :)

Most specialist sports shops give gait analysis, wherever you live, Google "Where can I get a Gait Analysis shop in? Town."

Well done! I have also just completed week3 run 1 and for the first time am experiencing knee pain. Might also need to invest in some new running shoes. I can’t offer much advice as I am no expert unfortunately but will be following your post with keen interest! Don’t give up! πŸ˜€

Thank you Pheerun! Get yourself a good knee support too, they really help!

No running with pain.... and just because I have real experience of this... go and get checked out by a sports physio...do this before you buy the new shoes... :)

Thankfully I work for the NHS so hoping to self refer to the occupational physio team and they might be able to help. I know if I have too long of a break I won't go back to it :(
