I ran on Wednesday, but it was too hot on Friday and Saturday, so I ran this morning. I tried a route that involves a long, horrible hill. Fine on the way down, stopped twice on the way up and had to walk because I thought I was going to vomit. It was too hot and I felt tired and annoyed at myself. I got home and my husband said “did you do it?” and I said “no I had to walk some of the hill” and he said “well you’re here - so you did do it and i’m really proud of you”. The point is I did! Why do our heads concentrate on the bit walked, not the 3k that was run?! We are so down on ourselves - so, yeh, I DID IT!

Such a nice kind husband, you did run about 90% of that run this morning, so that meant that you ran 2.9km of the 3K route, you were very wise on stopping briefly when you left that you were going to be sick. Think of the running part, not the very short walk.

Yes, much better to stop than vomit 🤢! Wise words from your husband, glad you listened to him. We're our own worst critics!
