I managed not to hug the lovely physio ( he is a couple of decades younger than me, it might have been unnerving for him ๐) but I think he noticed the mile wide cheesy grin!! ๐

Graduated in February, but havenโt done much running since. Iโm working hard to get into regular exercise - walking and the Strength and Flex podcasts - and to shift some of Ethel ! Looking forward to another go at C25k once Iโm a bit lighter ๐
Hi lovely Flossie, yes โslow & steadyโ is the only way- not that my legs are offering anything else. How are you doing? Sounds like also recovering? Xx
I am good..just off the IC with a Tibial posterior injury..torn tendon in the foot! Got the all clear from my physio' last Saturday for a really slow and steady return...:). And no speed work for at least 12 months but that suits me....good to see you off the IC too x
Thatโs brilliant news Elfe and I can safely say I know how you feel. I had 6 moths on the IC too and felt similarly about my physio when she said the magic words, โyou can try a little runโ. Iโm still seeing the physio and still managing the injury which loves nothing better than to niggle in a different place every time but Iโll be out for Wk 8 run 2 tomorrow. Iโve taken things even slower this time and am definitely feeling the benefit. I wish you the very best of luck out there on your journey back, itโs just as amazing the second time round. ๐ช๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ค
Good luck, let us know how you get on, I had to stop as broke my wrist and too painful when running so started again last week, was so out of breath and thought I was going to die!! Suddenly I found I was doing really well and I am so loving this programme and this site it's fantastic!! I think whoever invented it should be knighted.....
Thank you! ๐ Iโm pleased you are recovering and back to your running. I was a bit shocked at how tough W1R1 was too - so extra slow and steady is the way methinks! ๐
I know that feeling well Elfe5 ๐. I did hug my physio when she said the magic yes word ๐๐๐ and she didnโt mind at all. Slow and steady does it though. Good luck ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Oh, hugs winging to you- how frustrating. Your arm will mend and you will run. ๐ One of my friends got the โokโ from her dr about a month after a fracture - but it also depends how sore the jogging along makes it of course. Best wishes for excellent healing.
I am guessing from your name that you are also a keen gardener? I broke my wrist a few years ago โ I well remember the one handed gardening. Hmmm...
Sounds like itโs the time for sipping cool drinks in your lovely garden & a total ban on seeing weeds! ๐
... Also for favourite books, movies, borrowing box sets, Desert Island Discs ( over 2,000 to choose from!) ... and a modest amount of cheering chocolate?? You will mend, garden, massage & run soon.
(I broke a wrist a few years ago- I seem to remember everything began to feel better by about week three.) ๐
Whoop whoop! Thatโs fabulously happy news Elfe ๐ค๐ค Iโm chuffed for you. Youโve been so patient and yet so supportive to folks here, it must have been hard at times.
Well done๐Elfe5 bet you were so chuffed at end of run๐. Im so jealous as desperate to get back to running i tore my achillea tendons so waiting on physio appointment but hard enough walkig but missing running what is it they say I SHALL RETURN ๐again !! Missing the group too!! ๐ขgood luck & take it easy!!! & hope to catch you up soon๐x
