Monday night was W8R1, tonight is W8RN. I've got my water, I've got my lycras, I'm feeling ready... except for my trainers.
I currently have the Nike Downshifter Women's Running Shoe, which are fine but well worn in, and I think I need a bit of an upgrade.
I'd love some advice, particularly from the ladies out there, for some good running shoes. Something that is good for both the treadmill and for roads and parks.
Thanks in advance for any advice you have for good trainers or tips and tricks!

Really worth going to a specialist running shop, where you can get your gait measured and talk to someone who understands running, as everyone is different. Tell them how many times a week you run, whether you run on tarmac/grass or treadmill or a mix of all, and if you have any weaknesses in your legs that you want to protect (like your knees/ankles/tendons etc). I had been running in old standard trainers and can’t believe how a good pair of running shoes (ASICS, in my case), some proper running socks and an insole has improved my running!
