When she said you’ll be running 2 x 5 mins and 2 x 3 mins there was much panic. But I did it!

Really need to work out better circular routes. Just had a 20 minutes cool down walk! 😆🙈

Have a fab day everyone! X

Fantastic. Well done. I’ve just done day one and when she said “you’ve got two more runs” I felt like dying. But I didn’t; and made it home safe. Like you, I need to work out a better route. My cool down walk was 15 min 🤣

Well done again 💪🏻

Haha! We felt the same but we did it yay!! But yes, better route is much needed. For me anyway! 😆

Well done - I've just done 4:2 so I know what you mean and now I'm starting to twitch about wk 5.......

I share your route planning issue - wet grass soaked through my trainers so I left the grass and headed to the paths. But then the tarmac route had stubborn geese & finished a good 10 mins from home :-o

Well done to you too! Trying not to think about next week 😬

I ran across the park too. Won’t be doing that again in a hurry! Feet were soaked!

But stubborn geese?! Haha!! Little monsters!! 😆

Ah yes. I remember W4 started to feel like the real stuff of running. But it was also the week I decided if I got to the end, I would go for gait analysis and buy some proper shoes! Too late then to give up. I was committed. 🎉

On routes: remember that as you move along the plan you will probably cover more distance. So what seems too far now may become not-far-enough fairly soon. Bit of extra walking doesn’t hurt your cool down if you have the time....

happy running. You’re getting there for sure. 👏🏼

Thank you! And yes I agree. I’m rapidly running out of running trail! I’m loathed to get in my car to drive somewhere but I will need to find a better route. It’s very hilly where I am and I struggle to find a route that’s fairly flat. I guess the walk is no bad thing. Another bit of exercise all in one! ☺️

Aww you’ll be fine! I just kept thinking ‘slow and steady’ and I was fine! You will be too. Good luck! ☺️

Well done! I did Wk 4, R 1 last Monday but have been ill since last Tuesday so still have 2 more to do - I'm hoping this cough hasn't undone all the hard work I've done up until now! I can't wait to get back to it. I also have trouble with a circular route but I'm looking at the extra walk at the end as an "exercise bonus" Lol!

I’m sure you’ll be fine. Slow and steady but if you start coughing it may be a day or two early so don’t rush back.

I guess it’s a good thing the longer walk I guess. All exercise isn’t it. Get well soon! ☺️

Thank you. Yes, it's all good! I sometimes run/walk until the half-way bell goes and then turn around so I know it'll get me back without too much extra walking - it's a bit boring doing that though! As others have said, when we start running for longer we'll go a bit further so we'll 'grow into' our route, I guess!

Yeah I can’t do the turn around at half way though as I live on a hill. So run down it, around the flat area at the bottom then steepish walk home. One day I hope I can run it but it won’t be for a while! Lol!! But we’ll keep going won’t we?! ☺️

Haha! OK, I don't blame you for not turning around half way! I make sure my route is as flat as possible - there's a really steep hill down the road in one direction from my house so I make sure I go in the opposite direction to avoid it!
